As a disabled veteran I have struggled to find a purpose after medically retiring from the Army. Discovering paratriathlons has not only given me a new mission, but has also helped make my pain a bit more manageable, and has introduced me to a group of veterans who refuse to let their disabilities determine their capabilities. This fundraiser benefits Dare2Tri, which brings para-athletes and coach’s together, and allows veterans the opportunity to accomplish what most people wouldn’t even attempt. The organization has helped me tremendously and I hope this fundraiser will allow me to give a little bit back. 

Dare2tri transforms the lives of people with physical disabilities and visual impairments by helping them be active through the sport of triathlon. It’s more than just the swim, bike, and run—Dare2tri is a community of people that believe ability is limitless when you set your mind to something. Dare2tri builds confidence and self-worth, and makes physical activity a way of life for people of all abilities.

All funds raised by the Dare2tri Race2Raise Team will provide equipment, training, and programs that give people with physical disabilities and visual impairments the opportunity to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
