2024 Train2Race Camp Volunteers

The Dare2tri Train2Race Camp is open to athletes who have completed at least 2 triathlons within 16 months of camp independently without an on course guide (not including VI athletes who use sighted guides).  On Sunday, athletes will put into practice what was learned by participating in the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon.

Below are the volunteer roles for the entirety of the weekend camp. These roles are an intergral part of Train2Race Camp being successful and provide volunteers with the opportunity to work closely with Dare2tri staff and athletes. To volunteer for this camp, you will need to register for specific sessions throughout the camp, please do not overlap roles and times. Spots for these sessions are limited.

Friday, June 21, 2024:

One-on-One Sighted Guide for VI Athletes - Entirety of Camp

Unload/Setup/Check In - 7:45 AM - 9:45 AM (Off Site (32nd & 122nd, Kenosha, WI))

Dog Watcher - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Off Site (32nd & 122nd, Kenosha, WI)) (Spots will open on an as needed basis)

Bike Course Safety/Crossing Guard (Personal bike is required) - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Off Site (32nd & 122nd, Kenosha, WI))

Dog Watcher - 1:30PM - 4:00PM (Spots will open on an as needed basis)- Pleasant Prairie RecPlex

Saturday, June 22, 2024:

Water Entry/Exit Team - 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Dog Watcher - 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Spots will open on an as needed basis)

Merchandise Sales - 9:00 AM - 11:45 PM

Merchandise Sales - 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Dog Watcher - 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM (Spots will open on an as needed basis)

Merchandise Sales - 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Sunday, June 23, 2024: Race Day

Dog Watcher - 5:30 AM - 10:00 AM (Spots will open on an as needed basis)

Athlete Handler - 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Water Entry/Exit Team - 6:15 AM - 10:00 AM

Merchandise Sales - 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM

VIP Tent Guest Services 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Entertain guests, stock food/beverage trays, answer questions on D2T)
